Voices for the Lake exhibit makes a big a splash at ECHO.

Visitors explore stories at the interactive exhibit screens.

Do you love to share photos, videos, and stories with friends and family? Have you had a Lake experience you wish you could share with other people that are interested in Lake Champlain? Voices for the Lake provides the place to connect with others, share your stories, and affect local change.

This innovative community-driven collection of stories has been growing online since the launch of a contributory website on Earth Day 2010. People are sharing their photos, recordings, videos, and written stories from across the watershed illustrating how individuals connect and care about the waterways in their community andAdd your story to the exhibit, and, at our contribution station. ultimately Lake Champlain.



This unique exhibit features:

  • Two 42” touch-screen monitors where visitors share content with other visitors
  • Story capture kiosk to gather audio, video, text, or handwritten stories
  • Geo-tagging using Google Maps let’s you place your story where it happened
  • Visitors build and change the exhibit experience for the next visitor


Each story adds to the ripple effect of Voices for the Lake.
