In-Kind Process
ECHO routinely makes gifts of small family memberships to support the fundraising efforts of community non-profit organizations and schools. As a 501(c)3 organization that relies on outside donations and fundraising ourselves, ECHO has limited resources to donate and has limited yearly donations of memberships to 100 in total. If the number of requests exceeds the number of memberships available, a raffle will be conducted. ECHO is unable to make gifts of cash to any group.
In order to qualify for a donation, organizations must meet the following criteria:
- The organization receiving the proceeds of the fundraiser must be either a 501(c)3 non-profit or a public school.
- The organization receiving the proceeds of the fundraiser must be headquartered or have a significant presence within 100 miles of Burlington, VT.
- The organization receiving the proceeds of the fundraiser must not have received any other gifts from ECHO within the previous 12 months (starting on the date of the fundraiser).
Please Note: Churches, synagogues and other religious bodies are not eligible to receive donations from ECHO. Parochial schools and other educational bodies associated with religious groups, however, are eligible.
